You’ll probably be paying back that mortgage for
some years to come, and you work hard to finance
this investment, probably one the biggest you’ll
ever make – your home. The problem is, if it’s less
than your idea of perfect, if it’s a carbon copy of
all the others on the block or doesn’t have the
features you were really looking for, these issues
will eat away and grow as the years pass. If you end
up in a cookie-cutter home, that is an average,
quick and cheap house, not only will you lose out in
terms of satisfaction with your environment, but the
value and equity of your home will still be
determined by all the neighbors’ houses. Plus, you
will end up paying out extra upfront anyway on
upgrades that should be standard.
Can
you ever be truly comfortable and content in a home
where you know you have settled for less?
